It’s important to get to know your bartenders, but nowhere is that more important than on Crockett Street.
Sometimes low-key, sometimes wall-to-wall humanity, Crockett Street is a mixed bag of music, people and atmosphere.
When things get busy, you’ll really wish you had an ally behind the bar.
Katie Worth is one such ally. And since she tends bar at two places, you’re twice as likely to run into her:

MY BARTENDING PHILOSOPHY IS give the people what they want. Unless you don’t know what it is, then give them what you want. You just have to convince them that they want it too.
THIS IS my first real bartending job.
MY FAVORITE DRINK TO MAKE IS Hawaiian Punch. It is made with Southern Comfort Cherry, Amaretto, Melon Liquor, orange juice, pineapple juice, Sprite and a splash of Grenadine. Tastes just like the real thing.

I LIKE TO DRINK anything on the sweeter side. A really good Amaretto sour is always tasty.
OUR BEST DRINK SPECIALS rotate, but you can’t beat College Night. Dollar off beer and bar until 11.
MY PATRONS MAY NOT KNOW THIS ABOUT ME BUT I am also a child life specialist and am halfway done with a master’s in hospital administration.
THE EASIEST WAY TO GET ON MY BAD SIDE IS to whistle or wave over the bar to get my attention. Yes, I see you. But I am not a dog, and I will not respond to whistles or waves.
YOU GET ON MY GOOD SIDE BY saying thank you! And leaving a nice tip.
THE WORST PICK-UP LINE I’VE HEARD ON THE JOB WAS a string of suggestive compliments from a guy who insisted that I exchange phone numbers with him. When I politely explained that I was in no way interested, he informed me that he was a used car salesman and was only trying to get me a great deal on my trade-in. Sure you were.
MY FAVORITE MUSIC TO BARTEND TO IS just about anything. Our DJ’s are pretty great, but if I hear “Gangnam Style” one more time I might scream.
WHEN I’M NOT WORKING IN VAIN, Shelby or Larissa can certainly help you out. And if I’m not in Dixie, Heather and Bart are great.
I’M USUALLY working my day job or studying. I don’t have much down time.
THE BEST TIME TO FIND ME BEHIND THE BAR IS Friday nights in Vain and Saturday nights in Dixie. Hope to see ya out.
